This server from Tacoma, Washington thought it was going to be just another ordinary day. That is, until eight-year-old Alex McKelvey did something that brought her to tears.
Alex is on a wonderful mission: to complete 600 acts of kindness in memory of her late grandmother. Linda, Alex’s Grandmother, was one of those people that would “literally have given you the coat off her back.” On the final day of her mission (which also would have been Linda’s 60th birthday), Alex volunteered at a Mission shelter, paid for a stranger’s meal, and gave her waitress a generous $100 tip. Although she has accomplished every item on of her list, I’m confident that Alex will continue to pay it forward in her community.
Watch the video below to watch this generous soul giving to others, and be sure to check out her Instagram page for photos of her good deeds. As always, we’d love to hear what you think about this story, so let us know in the comments section. How are you bringing kindness to your community?
