What This Man Does With A Tree Will Blow Your Mind.

What does it take to create a world record carving? Well, for this artist, it took one tree, four years of tedious work, and a whole lot of talent. When you see the finished sculpture, it’ll blow your  mind.

Where the magic begins

Master carver Zheng Chunhui worked tirelessly for four whole years to create this stunning piece of artwork.

The idea for the carving came from a famous Chinese painting, “Along the River During the Qingming Festival”. The painting is believed to be over 1,000 years old.

This beautiful piece holds the Guinness World Record for the longest wooden carving in the world. It measures over 40 feet in length. The exact measurements are 12.286 meters long, 3.075 meters tall, and 2.401 meters wide.

The articulate detail and intricacy, depicting daily life in ancient China, is simply amazing.

It’s not just it’s size that makes it unique, it’s also it’s astounding level of detail.

From start to finish, it took a mind numbing 8,760 hours to create this piece of art. I think it was time well spent, don’t you?
