Many of us watch the news to receive our weather forecast, but it’s not every day that you see one go awry in the most hilarious way! It all started when the Humane Society brought one of their dogs over to Global Edmonton’s news station in Canada. Ripple was an adorable 18-month-old Mastiff mix, who was a tad bit on the “playful” side. Then came a point where the weatherman Mike Sobel grabbed onto Ripple’s leash so that he could join him on camera during the forecast.
From the moment the segment began, it was obvious that things might not go so smoothly for Mike. Ripple immediately started chewing his leash as if it were a toy. The reporter held on tight telling the pup to “sit,” but there was no way that was happening! Being that he was a big dog he was able to whip Mike around, who was trying hard to keep his composure and deliver the weather. Pretty much Ripple could care less about it though – he just wanted to have fun!
It’s hysterical to watch Mike try to control the dog, who’s nothing more than a big baby who thought his leash was the best chew toy ever. There reaches a point though that he actually breaks the leash completely! The newsroom and viewers at home were rolling with laughter at the scene – which certainly isn’t one you see every day. You can enjoy it for yourself in the video below. But another great piece of news is that Ripple was adopted soon after!
