Teen Asks Twin Brother With Down Syndrome To Share His Graduation Day

Twin bothers Austin and Ty have always shared a special bond. They were born into the world at the exact same time, but under very different circumstances. Ty has Down syndrome, and while brother Austin was walking, he was still learning to stand.

Like most twins growing up, they were inseparable, despite the fact Ty’s Down syndrome meant he would have to attend a different school. When it came time for Austin to graduate high school at the age of 18, he would only accept his diploma ifs Ty was allowed to walk right alongside him to receive it. Austin’s school was eager to oblige.

Even though Austin knew he worked hard to earn his diploma, he knows it’s his brother Ty who worked even harder due to the challenges his brother faces on a daily basis.

When the twins walked across the stage together, there wasn’t a dry eye in the auditorium. The most touching moment of the video below is when we meet the boys’ mother, who is so proud of her boys that she could barely hold back the tears.

Meet Austin and Ty below, and please SHARE their special bond with your friends on Facebook!
