With the holiday season in full swing, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s most important. That’s why one famous musical group is here to remind us all how to act in His image this year!
Most fans around the globe know GENTRI to be a talented trio of “gentlemen” tenors – and the three skilled men let their voices run free during this amazing performance of “O Holy Night.” Not only are their voices incredible, but the video that accompanies their rendition is just as powerful!
The video begins as a father and his family walks past a homeless man standing nearby a Christmas tree lot. The homeless man graciously offers to help attach the Christmas tree to the top of their car, but the family ignores his offer.
Throughout the rest of the video, the father can’t stop thinking of the homeless man, sitting by himself, alone and cold. Thankfully, the father finally does the right thing and tracks him down to a nearby shelter!
He couldn’t bear the image of the homeless man sitting in the cold while he and his family enjoyed the luxuries of their own home. It truly tugged at his heartstrings.
The video ends with the text from Matthew 25:40 splashed across the screen, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” This video definitely shows that the true meaning of Christmas is to help those who really need it.
The holiday isn’t just about buying gifts and presents for the ones we love! Giving back is the best way to show your true Christian faith.
The reason for the season sometimes gets lost in the hustle and bustle of the holidays. This video and GENTRI’s rendition of this Christmas classic really reminds us of that reason.
