Bryan Sperry made national news this past weekend when the 89-year-old former Jayhawk scored a touchdown in KU’s alumni scrimmage.
Sperry who played both defensive and offensive end on KU’s 1947 Orange Bowl team, was quite a handsome lad in his playing days, as seen in his headshot shared by Kansas Athletics on Instagram.
In an interview with the Kansas City Star following the scrimmage, Sperry reflected on his experience, saying, “That was fun. I didn’t know if I could run.”
Check out his touchdown at the alumni scrimmage below, the look on his face is that of a child having the time of his life!
